Testimonials

I highly recommend David Kidd's work. He has personally helped me with numerous projects. Each one was done with expert skill, and each one was created with me personally in his mind. He provides many options, and is flexible artistically. Not only that, but he is also a professional in the broader term of things such as polite, respectable, humble, and caring. Do yourself a favor, if you are even thinking about working with him, send him a message, and get the ball rolling. You will not regret it!

"Clockwork Angels" is again an album with some good songs, (Caravan, The Wreckers and The Garden for example) Yet, is also filled with horrible vocal melodies and some of the lamest and most unimaginative musical ideas I have ever heard from RUSH.  While tunes like The Anarchist and Seven Cities of Gold have great moments, the main "single-note" riffs in each song border on amateurish. I was shocked... shocked I say at how immature this album is considering the men behind it were 60 years old. The first time I heard Headlong Flight, I felt embarssed for my heroes! Ouch, that sucked. I guess the song rocks in it's own way, but the melodies are wretched! Wretched I say! If you don't agree, that's okay, but don't think you have any sensibilaties or regard for natural sounding vocals. The notion that these albums are a "return to form" to me is strange, for RUSH's old music was filled with truly original music ideas and brilliant melodies that married perfectly with the music but also conveyed the sentiment of the lyric. Not so anymore...
